Waking from a dream, of a magnificent beauty, alas, now unseen......
Sometimes there is nothing more heartbreaking than to dream of a beautiful love while asleep, only to open our eyes as the sunlight peers through the cracks in our lids, and dissolves our dream into fragments.
Well worded, well written and full of lovely images.
Great writing as always, Jacob.
dear Jacob, "perchance to dream... aww there's the rub..."
You and Shakespeare are dreamers... truly, Pat

Best you stay in bed a little longer, maybe rub the eyes one or two times, who knows, a dream may pass by and you may find wholeness in the morning glow.
The awakening from a dream of love leaves a warming glow. The focus is on the eyes, the essence of observance, the truth tellers. The belief in what you see can incorporate remnants of dreams, footprints in the morning dewy grass.
A wonderfully dreamy write jacob. take care...dan
A clever entertaining write Jacob. Be it tunnel vision, bad light or love is blind, or beauty lies in the eye of the beholder and just like that song mentioned I can see clearly now the rain has gone!! :)

I like this. Makes me think of those times we shelter ourselves from truly seeing things because we've got blinders on. But when we do open our eyes there's clarity. We should all eat more carrots.
