a Nielson Kind of LoveA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoa Nielson Kind of Love
the way
you left me, it felt like i was a
canceled spin-off of a series that had
topped the ratings for so long, and then
just started losing viewers
we became a stale item the plots thinned, no heart imagined in the
episodes so you cast me in a new
show some of the same
characters, but without you the star,
and nobody cared, i was a supporting cast that couldn't get your
attention, or an audience, no one wanted to see my
tears, or hear my chronic sad
dialogue
the scripts got monotonous in only a few short
weeks,
so now i am writing and writing and writing working on the pilot of a brand new series
one in which the main
character finds new flare, sharp lines and fresh theme
no Repeats just re-acclimation to
life
and love
a show renewed.
