Love it, love it! As I am becoming accustomed to anticipating in your work, this was delightfully imaginative! And so funny! Please keep feeding your brain whatever it is you fuel it with. Love the way your creative mind works!

We certainly can get into a "heap" of trouble for speaking our minds, rendering our opinion and placed into prisons built by the rules and views of others; thank goodness for that muse that comes to his defense as he might be permanently locked within the confines of the view of others....but yikes, that pick sure would be a pointed way to state a fact!
As always, creative and chock full of lines to cause one to "chew the fat".

Oh the trouble a writer gets into for speaking the truth
Somehow society builds for those people a prison
Marking their work .... and putting them in confined spaces
While the writers searched for freedom
His muse supplied some nourishment
And his pen found ways to liberation by living outside of the rigid rules

really insightful and poetic reply, Nisreen....thank you,
Super duper.
The ending us tops.
Kind of reminds me of something a friend of mine saw on a tv show where two psycho lovers, one in Korea I think and one in US were communicating via poetry. Every 4th word was the message.
Both got jail.
Death by pen though...
I like that. Since killing is illegal I will write my ex to death!

Lol. :)
Well I'm glad I'm not the only one with sinister thoughts!
This brought me to my garbage can in high school. Later, the recycle bin and the shredder, and later still, the delete button. I can't tell you how many times I start a new poem and junk it. That's what this made me think of. The cutting room floor. D.O.A. :)
