strange artistry

strange artistry

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

strange artistry

strange contraptions

your scissor lips

slice the throat of my meanings

conceptual longing

to kiss the themes from your sharply

bladed words

silence is blood soaked and serrated

awkward cut,

i'm bleeding you out

a pale impression

left

of a papier mache  heart.

Interesting diction here but very poignant; for some reason I read awkward and "awkwardly" but that doesn't necessary mean it's better just flowed in my head originally till I realized my mistake. Still I like style of this piece a lot and how at every stanzas end came a swift slice of a pause that really expressed the tone of the piece very well. Overall I really enjoyed this poem! The ending too is masterly done! Great write :D
