strange artistry

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

strange artistry

strange contraptions

your scissor lips

slice the throat of my meanings

conceptual longing

to kiss the themes from your sharply

bladed words

silence is blood soaked and serrated

awkward cut,

i'm bleeding you out

a pale impression

left

of a papier mache  heart.

Amazing use of words my friend. So many statements stood out.
"silence is blood soaked and serrated
awkward cut,
i'm bleeding you out"
To bleed out can be needed in some situation. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Ah, misunderstandings.....silence can kill any relationship, but when words are spoken and then misinterpreted, there is an apocalypse ahead. I liked the reference to a papier-mâché heart....truly "chewed paper" is what the heart becomes after a bad relationship. You seem to have an unending supply of inspiration. Your poetry is always fresh and interesting, Jacob. Kudos to you. Lydi**

At once empathy for both parties -- a tricky balance you have struck here.

Reflection of your muse, through a soiled lookingglass.

Your perceptions dice my intentions.
Still, I want to hold you quietly.
You writhe against my silence.
A ghost of love past.

Sometimes we do feel weak wheh it comes to heart issues. Anything coming from someone we care for is effective to us- might cut or heal us, but silence is also like a sharp blade just like the hurting words.
Excellent metaphors! Thank you for sharing your talent with us, sir.

Anyone need a bandage?

In the incongruent atmosphere of love sometimes bleeding is a necessity.

I'm speechless and envious of your ability to produce these time and again, with a new twist or metaphor each time.
