dimensions and synergy

dimensions and synergy

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

dimensions and synergy
a two-bit moon
star struck reveler
sleeping bag blues in slim light's brilliance
there is no darkness
when the birds chorus against the silence
and we hold hands in imagination's plane
flying together overhead
wondering what the other
is really doing
at that particular moment

Serenity and melancholy... those two words were my feelings while I read this poem for like ten times, I guess. Maybe it's the language of a poet, your beautiful language that sent me the thought of missing someone I never knew. Thank you again Sir. :)

love your interpretation...and thank you for reading and relating.

Reflective, romantic, bittersweet. I remember lying on the beach at night...albeit not in a sleeping bag....drinking in the starlight and thinking things would never change. We think of people who are not in our lives anymore and wonder.....are they remembering too? Makes me think of the Moody Blues song, "In Your Wildest Dreams." Yup, this one took me away. Lydi**

Imagining that we are together, holding hands and flying high. Those moments when we dream are the moments that we live.
Jacob, this poem really takes one to another dimension, another world. It's a place where dream merges with reality... or is it the other way round?
Then the realization....What actually would she be doing at this moment?
Is she dreaming as well or......?

there are somethings we all share-
the stars are one of them...

somehow longing or wondering is always tied to them...
and the birds begin to chirp before that sun appears-
they sing until the mercy of a new day begins- a choir

this piece has a delightful wonder to it- gentle and sweet

Some connections though fleeting can be so rewarding, spiritualy. It's enough to be flying together in that one moment, thinking of each other, during that flight of fantasy. Appreciated so much...

You are most welcome, Jacob. It is a pleasure.
love the title ...enjoyed the experience ...puts me in camping mode ... brilliant night sky lacking street lamping ... synergy of all things does exist says i! we only have to go no mind and stop ....
"at that particular moment" :)

ps always admire the ilk of metaphysical substance in poetry .. i think it stimulates the mind ..bringing dimensions and synergy to the poem says so much all by itself

This is really great Jacob. I picture my teenage self, camping and dreaming of that girl who won't give me a second look.

Imagining or thinking is the best escape from the stressful thoughts and pain of life. Heed in rapt attention to the chirping birds and you will find in them lovely singers with mellow, dulcet voices. And, union of imaginative minds is a lovely feeling for both of them or all of them. There is a saying in Hindi "Jahan na pahunche ravi, wahan pahunche kavi." (English- Poets can reach those places too where even the sun can't.) This poem has vindicated it, Mr Cilberto- the poet. Well-written. Keep writing.
