love lies, waiting

love lies, waiting

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

love lies, waiting

the rose seems simple

more than adequate beauty---

yet thorns lurk beneath

Yes it is, love feels beautiful and charming just like a rose but as we go in depth of it and in the hidden places of it, there hides sharp thorns, your title of the poem speaks so much in depth meaning just like the poem... This is a lovely senryu....

Sincerely
Dhiman

Ah, but then a rose wouldn't be a rose without them...always the dilemma. To risk or not. Much in a few lines.

Elegantly expressed. There is almost always pain associated with beauty :)

Indeed, what looks beautiful can be hiding evil. You are fast becoming the master of the senyru! Lydi**

Perhaps the thorns were meant to persuade us from picking it. I've often wondered why something so beautiful had such a guise for pain.

I love when you write these forms, Jacob. I find them quite addictive!
