loving without tech support

loving without tech support

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

loving without tech support

my spyware caught you with another

then my computer crashed,

but the memory was saved

so i put you on a flash-drive

for safe-keeping

checked my file options---

you were deleted

so i rebooted

got a new version of windows

created a new folder, but

still saw you on the other side of the screen

and imagined the virus

was more detrimental to my hard drive

than i figured.

Even when we ae betrayed by love there are certain things from that relationship that was good for the heart to keep for later.

Better re-format, get the best anti-virus and bin this file for good. I loved the clever analogy. Appreciated so much...

hmmm I am wondering Jacob, should love come with anti-virus software already attached?? that way when you must reboot all files are wiped clean... I have used window washer to rid myself of those unwanted memories.. it works pretty good except on those days that end in 'y'...

what we need Jacob, is a total systems recovery, unfortunately the brain is not in favor of such radical solutions... go figure... sorry man I think you will be forever haunted by her files...

once again Jacob you take an ordinary thing and turn it into metaphor and rich poetry, computers are very happy you have done this... as to your readers!!

So, I'm hearing that they have tech now that can determine what you are going to do before you do it, in like 28 mins or seconds or something.(reminded me of the movie "Minority Report) New York, supposedly, is already using this tech. I'm thinking a woman surely invented it. and the men, they are hoping for a grid down situation...laughing.
See how your ingenious creativity effects mine :)

Very clever analogy, jacob. Having experienced heartbreak is traumatizing just like when a virus eat all our important files,

thank you for your kind words, gabrielle...

Beautiful poem, sir. You have related two such things which one cannot easily think of, and you have done it commendably. Each thing you have written is full of imagery. Glad, you shared the poem.
