A very original idea; comparing one's love relationship with modern technology. This is very well conceived.
Behind all the tech phrasing is a heartbreaking situation that some of us may encounter in our lifetimes, catching the object of our affection, in the arms of another, and attempting to save the memories of that failed relationship while later dealing with the "viral" effects that the failed relationship has had on oneself.
This is brilliant in its style, structure and original content.
Take a bow, Jacob. You have done it again. Another fantastic piece of writing.
Hello, Jacob, I looked at the popular writing list. You're it, four out of five. 🚀
I often read your poems, but rarely comment because I'm easily confused. This one was a fun read for me. :)

This is very clever! Those first two stanzas made me smile, as I can relate to this situation. Great, from start to finish, including the title. Well done. :)
The last time I tried to flash-drive I nearly ran my motorcycle off the road...poor frightened woman. In which case USB stood for unwanted sexual battery. It was all the fault of those cut-off jean shorts. I think she expected a hard drive more than a floppy disk.

I enjoyed the read as I enjoy all your works. You have a great talent with metaphor.
Whoa! Love is complicated, eh? Time for the beach and no technology! Well, I see hope for this narrator, because he "imagined" the severity of the damage. As a reader, I hope he realizes his hard drive will survive!
