Another great analogy Jacob - this time you've left us all hungry for a slice or two but there's always that twist at the end to make one wonder if we should even bother to indulge :)

'it's never on the house - when it comes to feelings - and the menu doesn't tell us all that is involved--- we just have to trust.. .. '
You write like a demon on high altitude sometimes... fancy love compared to pizza! Such an interesting comparison. However, your mind plays with words so well that 'things' make sense.. literary skill mixed with culinary ability every time. Seems you don't even ask for doggy bags but walk away knowing enough is enough... at least.. for now.

That just might be a somewhat ambiguous response! :))
This was great, using pizza as an analogy for love and relationships was perfect. And yes, "anyway you slice it, you pay for it." Always that emotional price tag.
I liked this:) but not every pizza is enjoyed and the seasons Mmmm lets just say some can hit ya wrong lol. I did enjoy the write!

Very fun & interesting & playful analogy carried thru-out this message! So original to compare love to pizza, with more or less toppings, we still must pay a price. I find the last 2 stanzas a little intriguing (but well-stated) . . . I think I've left the restaurant for good myself! *smile*
How do you write so well, sir? You are a great poet and make the reader muse and contemplate and commend what you have written.

Sir, I do not mean to flatter, but you are very humble and down to earth.
I saw the title and thought, "hmm, what is he cooking?". Then I scrolled to the "Love is like pizza" and started laughing. Should of known it would of been fast food haha and hell, why not pizza, right? So, I took a sip of my coffee and kept on reading about how less is more on a delicate digestion, and how LSD and a Menage A Trios was compared to a nuclear holocaust to beneficial happenstance...and I kept laughing. It's your fault. The "Love is like pizza" tickled my brain, and it didn't cost me anything except a chuckle. I thoroughly enjoy the magnitude of your word manipulation and vivid imagination, sir :)
