Kingdom up for SaleA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
Kingdom up for Sale the closing in epiphany of estrangement desolation's royalty a king of nothing milling around in a nothing land the walls hard the engagement of bewildered subjects verbs missing modifiers dangling in arid air clenched crown squeezing what's left in the eye that sees the cherub that sees the future where Eden reinvents itself and nakedness of joy runs unabashedly refusing to bow or kneel or be subjugated to the oppressor of smiles until the eye shuts out forever, forever. erin-cilberto 6/8/1o © 2016 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
