In a Jack Dempsey State of Mind

 

 

inferno of internalized

combustion busted inside

the sphere of you spinning

outside of me.

 

confounded confinement

enriched thoughts make me poor

of elation

expensive monotony of solitude

 

 

fortitude feigning punches

a boxer's mentality

takes the hits

combustion busted inside

 

inferno of internal injuries

rich juvenile giving away rounds

with or without

a significant other as cut man to

 

the sphere of you spinning

outside of me.

love the line 'the sphere of you spinning outside of me' - too much thinking and overanalyzing things robs us of the wonder and simplicity of life - there is that bit of fire in everyone of us - that feistiness - that could drive us to an early burn-out, if we sweat the small stuff so easily
