soft step

soft step

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

soft step

tip-toe into love
keep your balance
a ballerina's pose,
pirouette slowly, very slowly

if the dance director smiles
you will fall into your partner
on the final turn
and fuse as one

from the improvisation
your hearts.devise.

The delicacy of two
is so particular
like a beautiful dance
every move matters
every word
every breath

an invitation to treat a lover
like a ballerina's dance

so soft indeed

"if the dance director smiles" for me that was the "Wink" that sweetened the poem.

There is a sweet side to the writer showing here that makes ya just want to hug him.
Yes .... By fate or faith if it is meant to be so shall it be.
But it's sure nice to enjoy the dance with someone who isn't pushing and let the hearts match up naturally.
Wow.. what a sweet dance I just had thinking about dancing naturally and the more desirable the guy with self control is.... Ya let the hearts decide, the dance director knows how to match those hearts,

Wow, short but sublime!!

I liked how it starts, the metaphor you used: "tip-toe into love".
I guess you can interpret this poem in many ways. But I'm gonna see it this way: to make someone fall in love carefully, in a delicate way, just like a ballerina does. The interesting thing is, according to this point of view, who is the director? The girl whose whatching your actions (or the boy depending on the case)? God maybe? Life?

I wonder if it is possible to improvisate in love...

I'm sure there is still much fabric to cut from your poem, it is very deep, and has a great background where mind and thoughts can dive in.

I liked it a lot!!!
