I enjoyed reading this one! And I am smiling rather than being sad..... Might be the dark 'me' or maybe it's just something one has to accept in the end and the sooner one realises the better? The unique structure and breaking of verses has a good effect on this poem, gives a very lyrical feel to it. The last four lines for me were really cool and I guess in the end I could say death could have a dictionary of it's own( maybe a thesaurus as well) to define all sorts. Death becomes a really familiar friend as the years roll by. It serves different roles at different times and even if we hate it in the beginning maybe but in the end we all come to form bonds with death such is how fates are forged. Thank you for sharing I enjoyed it ^^

The irony of life in four short lines. What is death? I think we see tiny deaths along the way. The death of an image, the death of a relationship, the death of desire. All deaths....impossible to define really. Jacob, whatever you are drinking this week, keep drinking it! :) lydi**

i relished reading this poem - read it again and again - i like the effect - i could see the procession - i am walking towards it - i am part of the procession - i see familiar faces - we are all going to see each other soon, another life, another chapter - the poem remains, there is no end to it - great writing, jacob :)
all I can think... is, life after death remains... when there is true life?
true, truth?
it immediately engages in a thought-like verse...
the reader is compelled to play along.
