taking the house for a walkA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertotaking the house for a
walk
placate, then vacate, hearts live in transient
station
pay the rent, don't buy into love or that abhorrent trust
in gratification
movement staves
off the mesmerizing
involvement and picket fence
expectation
while the dog makes a
mess in the back yard of
memories a little house of hope
faces demolition…
