partly cloudy with a chance of love

partly cloudy with a chance of love

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

partly cloudy with a chance of love

a Frito's morning,

crisp air you can take bites of---

dip into the greening lawns

and blossoming pears

the sun bounces off car chrome

in dancing laughter

the shine inside is deep

as we inhale the scent of proclamation

spring is on the table now

perfect white clouds to snack upon

like a ranch dressing in which to immerse smiles

if i partake too much of this glorious gala

it will leave me no room for summer's dinner

but then, we only live once

so , please pass the chips

and i will warm  to your soft cumulus.

thank you for your kind words, h,

A picture of a perfect day in spring came to my mind and also or therefore the fresh feeling you get when you fall in love, which makes you think that there are no limitations in life. My favorite verse is " it will leave no room for summer's dinner". This one made me really think.. I don't know how and why, but it kind of did..
Thank you for this great poem!

You always write what I wish I had thought of! ...and how can you miss with a "Frito's morning"? Make mine chili cheese, please.

Perhaps this will entice my muse to dance. Awesome work, Jacob!

I'm thrilled that Spring has arrived and I too have to be careful not to indulge too much because I always look forward to Summer's feast as well - this is all kinds of delicious :)

i love your usage of chips to this sweet connection
saying hey i am going to have a good time
despite the high chances of rain

this piece has such a light feel to it
