Love....the test we can't study for. It's always multiple choice, isn't it? Sometimes graded on too harsh a curve if you ask me. Wonderful metaphor....but I can feel the pain between the lines. Lydi**

thank you, teach...i can pass if the curve is big enough!
Wonderful piece...exploratory in its nature...I could feel the sense of anticipation and the experimentation...could feel both sides actually and that is the mark of a great poem and writer :)
Love is such a rogue element. It causes all sorts of changes to the best-laid plans. Just out of curiosity, did you look at the choices laid out in testing format?
A or
B or
C or
All the above
And perhaps you did and it was too much. Thanks for sharing. I've had some experimental catastrophes along the way. I'm just glad I finally found the right chemical equation...lol

thanks for sharing...and for your kind words on my poem...
Like a spell that wasn't supposed to be cast, love seeps in and everything changes. I love your view on this because its real and it happens. Probably more than we think.
I liked these words, "a test that couldn't be retaken
the pass/fail element composed itself
as empirical reality,"... sometimes we try to analyse the whys and wherefores of love, only to find we are already in love and the possibilities and probabilities confront you head on... and you say uhho, now what?? do I go with it? or back away? I always go with D, all the above!! just to see what happens... hmmm maybe this is why I am still alone...
I enjoyed reading this poem Jacob, if past, sorry, if current, have a great reality (without those SATs and IQ tests)

And then love turned nothing into something....from plain to special..from failure to a pass ,,from false to true, ,an experiment to an everlasting theory..... huh!!! the power of love...a well written poem...I loved it
The laboratory of love has always been an experiment searching for the unknown. The foibles of the heart can produce some unexpected results.
I enjoyed your novel approach to this subject , Jacob, with a good catchy title to ensnare the readership.
