Not what I was expecting with the title, but surprise can be a very good thing. The pivot from the rather comic opening image to the edgier finish is handled deftly. This is the good stuff.

Although this was obviously written as an "angry" poem, I see it more as one of sadness that a great and respected nation has allowed itself to be manipulated by wealth and political ambition. Now a universal problem, unfortunately.

So much truth the weak, tired, and weary can only say..This a masterful piece, which capture your alienated message in such thoughts on breathlessness. Excellent piece
She has made a habit of the jaunts, and each time we seem to lose something. Now I'm wondering if it is not all integrity. Have we truly.progressed or is it just a word to quiet the masses? Nicely done j.
i'm not too good at interpreting (or writing!) this kind of poem but I have the feeling you are talking about the chasm between Americas founding principles and some of the recent blemishes on her character - guantanamo and Iraq come to mind. It is very good!
