dear Jacob... This seems like a poem for dreamers.
Mountains are for young people to climb.
Dreamers are for escaping to the clouds above
where angels play harps and sing of aging as
if it were a destination like Disney World.
truly, Pat

how sublime the encouragement i receive from this poem ... one hopes to retain as much hope and memories as one can in the gathering dim ;) and to receive respect as well ...respect for the sage in us all ..but especially toward the waning days .. really like this one jacob .. its a keeper ... it lifts my heart :)

thank you for your kind words, E.---glad you saw the positives.
I love that even with a few miles behind you, you're still dreaming of mountains or adventures yet to come. It's kind of cool that our thoughts don't age - just the shell that encompasses them. Perhaps that's what helps get to the other side :)
When we are young, we dream of what we wish to become, not knowing who we are. When we are old, we still dream of what we wish to become, but with a certain knowing what we are, and with the added gift of wisdom, in laughter, we abandon the struggle, remembering the journey of it all. Life is a dream and there are many dreams to come.
