Your description of the lascivious pleasures of fermented apples caused me to experience a premonitory moistening that overflowed my nether lip. (with inebriated apologies to Charles Lamb)
Oh! By the way J, I enjoyed the poem too

Describes wonderfully an alcoholic's love for their muse, longing for their lover's sweet kiss to intoxicated once more, also brought back memories of reading Cider with Rosie by Laurie Lee. Nice one J
This is like an ode to a lover, from an alcoholic to his drink. There's an eroticism to it that makes it all the more easier to understand why so many find it so difficult to let go. Love within a bottle easily dilutes the soul, for a moment, for a night, then the drink must be drunk again. Very nice.
