verbal irony

verbal irony

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

verbal irony

how is it poetic justice

when the guilty words go free

then blackmail the artist

to paint nothing but heartache

and the innocent words of mirth

are locked in the poet's mind

to serve a life sentence.

That's what Writers Cafe is all about. It's the key to literary freedom.
I found much to consider in this poem
e.g why do I think some of my work is worth submitting?
Why did I write it anyway?

Thank you for the stimulus.
