a sentence ending with emotional prepositions

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

a sentence ending with emotional prepositions

evasive subjects,

careless verbs ask questions

infer pronoun references without thinking first

how the gerunds might object

to infinite infinitive inquisition,

adjectives are more than ready to talk

they want to describe incessantly

but the dangling participles

nod their heads "no"

then try to find a place to sit

all is quiet,

an ellipsis of uncomfortable silence,

but during that period,

quotation marks decipher thoughts

that are better left

dangling

than said,

a transition between love

and

a few missing conjunctions.

Brilliant! I love that line About 'quotation marks decipher thoughts that are better left dangling than said''
In love and relationships, we can't always say what we want to, for so many reasons. I love how the metaphors dance here, just like we do with our hearts.

What's grammatical conjunctivitis sound like?
An excellent, rather intricate, succession of apt metaphors.
Amazing work!

"But the dangling participles nod their heads no". So many times my partner does this, gives me a fit of giggles every time. First thought when reading "boy this lunch meet would definitely be a Utuber". Language can be as confusing as it can clarity. Nice one J.
