down the aisle of man

down the aisle of man

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

down the aisle of man

slanted directions

shaded misgivings

north, south arrangements

when given time,

we slope momentarily against judgement

and think in terms of compass agreement,

rather than intuition,

the heart gets lost amidst turmoil

caused by confused perceptions

i'm a hobbit by nature

a little mind among the tall and strong

just trying to find that ring of congruent enlightenment

that circle of sustenance

where inner peace has the opportunity

to slip itself into my being

like a band snugly placed on a finger

with hints of forever.

Well if you find that sweet spot before me, update me. We are all searching throughout our lives for that sweet spot. I am at a point where it cannot get much sweeter so I will put my feet up and try not to let the noise in my head bring up something that takes away my peace.

Very nice work and it has to be read slow with a little chew. Making me think a bit. Thank you for sharing.
