Have you ever dated a woman whose false eyelashes were so long, you could hear them fanning the air?
I haven't, either.
The thing I hate most about one "night of sin" is that it, too often, results in years of regret. Seems like a pretty lousy deal.
Excellent work, Professor J!
What's the point of having a boat if it never enters the water. We can't go through life unscathed and proclaim that we have truly lived...and how else would we develop the calluses of wisdom. I think we chose the life we live before we ever got here. We are super souls on the other side and suffer amnesia when we're born :)

i like your perspective, thank you for your words, lynn.
A matter of choice is a simple transition in that blink. A night of sin followed by a lifetime of gazing ? Or a heart left with gashes. I think the real question here is, do we make our own choices or is there some outside influence batting eyelashes at us? Yet another brilliant write my friend.

thank you for your insights, and kind words, bill..
But who knows when that blink will last? Can we ever really know at first glance? I liked the scattered rhyme in this one. A little different for you. Lydi**
All the possibilities of a single look, capturing thoughts that seem to go on forever, in a shared instant, that lingers and defies time itself. Lives are lived and lost in these moments, and forever changed.
(a single life's ashes or a heart left with gashes depends what they chose) For me this is the heart of your beautiful write. It can however be interpreted in different ways...so aptly and eloquently written by Connie. I always find your work very interesting, easy to read and a pleasure for having done so! Happy New Year Jacob my friend. ~Sharon
