Those moments between awake and sleep and the opposite where our mind actually has an opportunity to speak to us is when we are reminded of these things that creep into our daily lives and sometimes it is a good conversation and sometimes it is not. Great writing Jacob
there is a whole truck load of emotional "conscience" penned here Jacob, whether personal, "cracked cups" or a "world that is too loud" and there are many days where I ask, how do we live with ourselves??? whether is from mistakes we've made or from other "time bombs", neither are very "tender"... but no matter how you read this poem Jacob, it is one of your best I think and thankfully this poem made it out alive..
We do experience those moments when we attempt to formulate the proper thoughts for a poem, but they just won't come to us, but the memories are there, the intentions, even good intentions end up being like having a hangover from not being part of the "goings on" of others. Our conscience is a good barometer and perhaps the thoughts that leap to be expressed aren't ready to leave the heart yet.
Interesting thoughts my friend! The repercussions, the deep bass barometers, the loud party next door are enough to create a tender time bomb - the bomb is still ticking away.
