A cardiologist who specialize in heart ailments and anomalies may be get easily frustrated to treat such condition . A broken heart and heartaches are the most common yet most difficult to treat . A bandaid or few aspirins maybe a quick fix but the hurt is way deeper that the cardiologist expertise . The love may have been in prologed hypothermia. Whats interesting is that the muse is willing to give up its practice instead of running another risk ir relapse . The theme has medical metaphors ....

Clever, witty, with true resignation and a tinge of sadness.
The title, for me, plays on the medical degree, but also body temperature and, perhaps, emotional fever, too.
To be done with the relationship - giving up the practice - another clever use of a phrase to inject multiple meanings.
A concise, witty-sad, layered write that reveals a savvy pen.
Thank you, Jacob, for this.
I love this quirky little comeback poem. it feels like something I'd write when someone had pissed me off and I just wanted them the heck out of my life. So Dr Love has hung up his stethoscope. It's too bad that MRIs can find a person's soul, it would make the treatment plan so much easier from the outset.
its all over rated anyway, give me a book and a nice armchair anyday, unfortunately love springs eternal.
all nice words, when we ourselves are not going through the emotional wringer. nice write.
