A good cup of coffee, a stimulating conversation, a warm relationship - all lift us up. And, of course, the truly wise know that the cup itself doesn't matter... ;)

Jacob, all is well. I can't tell whether work is more intense lately, or if I am just getting older .. read more
Starbucks coffee is a little high end of the regular latte but you get a high octane caffeine . When someone is Starstruck or inlove with someone . Sky is the limit. I tried this coffee one time Jacob and had caffeine withdrawls . I guess its the same way with love ...

But will the new land let you in - you guys being refugees and all? And if THEY didn't would your old land let you return! Sigh, Lost in a Perfect Storm of brewers' perfection til the tepidness overwhelms you and you so slowly and inexorably sink into the morass of sweet cloy and grounds gathered and forgotten at cups' end.

Was thought-fullly delicious.

Never having been in a Starbuck's but having been a long-time coffee drinker, I can once again marvel at how you use the extended metaphor to illustrate a seemingly disparate concept such as love. And the last line: "holding cups, holding hands, holding hope" is the perfect closing for a wonderful love story. Very well done, jacob. take care...dan

Yes, indeed...caffeine to the rescue! And deliciously so.

Nicely done, you!

There is a down home comforting feeling to this poem, Jacob. Holding hands and drinking a good cup of coffee....and seeing where it will lead. Easy to dream when one is in a coffee house. It is one of my favorite pasttimes. I liked this. Lydi**

the perfect ambiance for love ... all those flavors and aromas to titillate and inspire .. i wonder how many first dates are meetings at the local coffee shop ... they are so non-threatening .. ahhhhhh! and suddenly love is in the air this morning :)

I love this write Jacob! My best friend met her husband at Starbucks and they are still (holding cups, holding hands, holding hope.) I love your closing line. Happy Holidays to you and yours Jacob. ~Sharon

A perfect picture. This could easily describe my morning ritual with my cronies discussing how we're gonna cure all the problems of the world.
Always a pleasure
