Eros' Galoshes

Eros' Galoshes

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Eros' Galoshes

it's kind of raining out

and i kind of love you

when the sun sort of shines

you are sort of my umbrella

and yet we both get wet

and we both feel the love

as it pours down,

like a strobe light

glistening through rainbow rain

as the arrow impales our hearts

together

in vivacious color

kind of

sort of

like high definition

reflects our intentions

off the puddles of commitment

that surround us.

I love how you rain down your admiration then end in puddles of commitment. Forget the umbrella! Get drenched.

Oh you're more than welcome Mr cilberto
The love of rain whether winter or not but also a clever metaphor of love for a partner "springs" to mind sharing the puddles. Nice write either way I delve into the wet!

thank you for your insightful review, Andrew...

I bet there is not one sordid commercial during the entire affair. Reminds me of Gene Kelly Singing in the Rain.
Sweet like honey.

I'm sorta confused.... with connotations sorta swinging back and forth in contradiction.
Mainly stemming from the title to the plot.
With Enos being the Great Lover always willing and able, yet the write seeming to be about a wishy- washy ,
(a fair weather type)
Why would Eno's need galoshes? Why would Eno's be only a fair weather type?
Eno's is the anytime anywhere type,I thought.. At least he was last time it was raining here :-) lol

"Eros' Galoshes" be soundin' like some rubbers--prophylactics, as the snooty might say. (Not even gonna bring up the "umbrella.")
Kinda lovin' her "when the sun sort of shines" brings to depraved minds loving her where the sun don't shine. Luckily, my mind is not depraved and I would never think that.
Apparently, the high-minded metaphors of your (sorta) rainy day love are beyond me.
I still, however, found it to be an intriguing read.
