a cuckoo conundrum

like i am borrowing shelf space in your heart

selling myself to your eyes

and you keeping every penny of my thoughts

such a beautiful proposition,

 

 

let's close the shop

draw the shades,

and divvy up the proceeds.

a "cuckoo conundrum", OMG, we must go help our friend Jacob as he has sold himself in that big used emotion store and now metaphors will fly, allegories will bite and we will lose our friend to the bargain basement of love... everyone, get your cuckoo safety nets ready...

this poem is just the medicine needed on the day when the american cultural institution of Mall Culture brings out the negative nature in way too many people...

You know Jacob, that bargain store usually has the best buys... ;0)

thank you, Al for your words, and hope yours was good too...yes, mine was the usual...i served at the newman catholic center---have for 16 years..it is rewarding in so many ways.
and i finally watched the movie "Frida"...love movies about writers, artists, singer songwriters...
