A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

between the covers

fictional love,

characters plausible

they develop,

endings coincide with hearts

for life,

real love,

static characters,

broken dream themes

endings coincide with strife

indeterminate

Now,  please put the book down and look into my eyes----

read.

Being lost in stories is exciting but does have it drawbacks when the real story is not even noticed.

Like it Jacob.

Simplistically uplifting!
It's never so need to read book when the lover of life's just sitting before very eyes & making winds, time and the whole day/night more pleasant "kissing". "Between The Covers" one may reads whatever a writer writes across ... but in the heart, in the eyes of someone, there's always love that only a "readers" can figure out, for no matter what. Kinda deep and very thoughtful poetry!

Most of us have no idea how much TV, movies and books have shaped our perception of reality. In many ways, we are practically "media creations." (Wrote a poem about this, not long ago.)
Great waker-upper!

You are more than welcome
Nice, fiction and reality collide in the mind. The problem with reality is all the loose ends dont get tied up neatly in the end and more is left unanswered than said. Love the last line, a challenge to see the truth.

Real life relationship is different from those romantic work of fiction. If we truly wanted a relationship to prosper, we need to be realistic, and tone down those fantasy-filled expectations.

This piece me of Ken & Judy. Ten years, he reads, she reads, there is no sex, there is no eyes. Judy balloons into an eating machine. Ken doses on pot. He goes down medically but the surgery saves him from his end. Finally they split and disabled Ken finds love.

You just keep me intrigued & enlightened. Thanks!

Regards,
Al
