floods and foreclosures

floods and foreclosures

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

floods and foreclosures

philosophical clouds

rain demented dreams

lightning strikes in thought patterns

erratic storms of semantics

uninsured, cryptic lodgings

damaged retina of the mind

the thunderous roar of his voice

just a slight sound of

hushed rain pitter-pattering

a roof of denial

he is distance, and i am here

waiting out the deluge of grief

wishing i could fall from the clouds

over his head,

and tap on his window

like a stray raindrop.

Stormy weather my friend....I know it well. Sometimes there's nothing to be done but batten the hatches...or at least that's my interpretation!
