inevitable fall

inevitable fall

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

inevitable fall

burdensome autumn

he recalls her vibrancy

sees sad colors change

the hue of his view

clings to the tree of existence

biding his time, waiting to join her

a lone leaf lured to the ground

when winter’s breeze beckons.

i've always found it so ironic that nature shows her most beautiful colors just before everything dies.....

wonderful piece.

thank you, rubie.

I love the feel of this poem, and in my eye's mind can see the last leaf of fall. Fall is a muse unto it's self.
It can take on any persona. Your play on words are full of imagery and most poetic.

this is sweet...when in love, we always stick to each other during dark times as well

A pathos, shown through the death of the beloved.
A falling leaf is a beautiful metaphor to indicate death.
Thank you for sharing. Insight.

You are welcome.
Brilliant metaphor... When we truly love someone even death does not break the bond.

Fall is in the air, the leaves are changing colour, along with our moods, and then they fall to the ground as winter approaches!

There are times when I sit here and chew poetry for hours..and then there are moments like this one...my coffee poured, my thoughts hazy. I read a real piece and instantly I am full and awake. Full with life...with love...with sadness...with hope. It's beautiful!

Seemed, you capture the season affairs in words. Liked it. Yeah, every breeze's way breezed to feel the eternity of love . . . peace . . . and beauty. And, you paint it all well in words, undisguised. Keep it up!
