it's quiet in the sanctuary of semantic regretA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoit's quiet in the
sanctuary of semantic regret
baptism
of words, the touch of liquid
vocabulary anointed syntax, a version dipped in
indelible ink the poem's life begins
but the original sin is
still the writer's will and the mortal memories
that birthed the poem will forever
gather in contrition's
confessional a page bleeding of
conscience.
