from a poor man's Paris of the mind

from a poor man's Paris of the mind

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

from a poor man's Paris of the mind

i received a postcard from my heart,

said:

"wish you were here, miss you"

it had no stamp

so i had to pay the postage

40 cents worth of angst

perforated with paper cut edges

and no return address.
