fashionably late

fashionably late

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

fashionably late

the dark red moon

in a cold suggestive moment

serendipitous feelings

i don't know you yet,

but think i see your face

in that crimson glow of sky

and now understand why

i've waited

for one more day of longing

to eclipse my heart.

Eclipses never last forever and you don't want what you don't need. I love this, Jacob :)

Love that idea of eclipses of waiting.

What a gorgeous title dressing the poem!

this one really appeals to my incurably romantic heart.

i truly believe there is one person out there for each of us who is REALLY the right one. and we know we have found that one person when we realize why it's never worked out with anyone else, and we see that our heart has been eclipsed by all other relationships while we awaited the right one.

ahhhh, love....

Wow! I think something like this is going on with me now. Marcy but I still don't know.

You really know how to transcend romantic notions!

It's a long wait indeed to gather the longing in under the light of the dark red moon - but sounds as if it is worth the wait. There are those times when it is better to take things slow, though the blood might be getting a bit hotter. 'Tis better to be fashionably late than totally without a date!
