on that road again

on that road again

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

on that road again

prolific highway,

bi-partisan profits loomed once

until recession assimilated---

just words,

meaningless filament

strands of semantics

i found you by the side of the road

we were:

travelers twixt the tenements

but walls never really vacate

the city of reflect

now the poem is again a lone traveler

mirrored against a scenic destination

a vast rural effect

love with its thumb in the air

benevolently bankrupt,

hitching a ride to another smile

Influenced by the news of Syria I can't but help picture the migration of refugees from Syria to Europe with this write! with only the possessions they could carry, desperate! A lovely produced write!
