aftertasteA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoaftertaste
even
with several dashes of salt over the shoulder of
love, the spice tempered, the luck run out
violet template passion's pages wiped clean
a white out insistence a strange distance
the silence shaken over a meal of
resistance
and now a bland stance taken,
love's flavor past the due date of existence
no recompense the endings all seem the
same.
