rebirth of yesterday

rebirth of yesterday

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

rebirth of yesterday

the stretch marks still exist

even after the painful memories

exit the womb of reflection

The scar of yesterday past will never heal and will always be there even though the cause of such excruciating pain has been released. The events still lingers in our progress notes of thoughts. Short and beautiful Jacob.

My mom could testify to this after giving birth 9 times...if she were still with us. Valentine

Those stretch marks are indelible. I don't think the memories ever really go away, they just hide under the surface somewhere until something reminds us once again.

Those marks we call experience... Perhaps Thomas Gray was right when he said that ignorance is bliss...

A bleak, truthful ode about the daily cycle of life. Very well worded.

:) the irony of human ruminations gives me a smile this morning ..at meself! and i can think of no better way to say it than stretch marks and birthing ... tho i hold the easy end of that rope ;0 ...coming from a male counterpart makes this with an added touch of sensitivity .. i like it!

Such lessons within this, time holds many lessons and though the scars are visible, somehow we continue with the light entering the broken shell...beautiful Jacob!
