grief
flickers, like window dressing a mannequin's quivering
lip a wooden tear,
plaster eyes widen yesterday's sunshine
illuminates like a two way bulb
dim memories sharper daggers then the “off” switch
no more feeling a wardrobe of once
exciting design given to Good Will
the store closes on the
moment fashionable mistakes
forgotten till the next line is introduced.
