A sad Day

We lost a mainstay at WC in the past couple of days...Marie passed away. She was 71, had been writing most of her life, had such a wry sense of humor. Marie's poems were almost always uplifting, she told it like it is with beautiful descriptions. And her reviews were always honest and sometimes quite blunt, but always well thought out and so often brought a smile.

I am going to miss her so much here at WC...won't be the same here without her personality adding to the mix of poets.

I am so sorry to hear of her loss - yes, she was blunt but such a treasure in heart and spirit! I am going to miss her as I am certain many more will agree. I enjoyed her poetry, but found her stories to be my favorites! She was indeed a gifted writer who has left a hand print on my poetic soul!!
