Overnight StayA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoOvernight Stay
blissful
lodging hotel heartthrob
shutters closed now Vacancy sign blinking like the cold eye of
winter, snowbound love puts out
"do not disturb" sign ice machine maturation,
abandonment in the hallway of echoed
exuberance
register full of regret opened to the page of your signature, and yesterday's luxury
suite we shared as one
today, there are too
many rooms available and i can't find you in
any of them.
