Postage DueA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoPostage
Due baby
powder blues talc tantrum crying for the sake of
crying but maybe that infant
feels the future
even in his tiny ivory
bones trepidation lives in the
fissure of weakened calcium, a
carbonated fear trembling lips, taut
timid trek
baby powder blues pure white sediment poured innocence already
bubbling with sanity waning
wearily out of the stark womb
feels good now, but only a temporary fix from the rash of society he will later suffer
from
when he longs to once
again just be pending
not delivered.
