'Postage Due'
Jacob,
From the beginning with the thought'
"crying for the sake of crying" little ones really do that!
Such a neat idea for the helplessness and lack of control
we all have in this life. How like little babies we can be
. I have felt this way too:
"when he longs to once again
just be
pending
not delivered.
In saying all the above I do hold hope for our youngsters,
our grandchildren and there young parents.
I wish them hope in this crazy world .
They are smart and brave and will be
the ones to live in their own futures when
we are all gone.
God Bless them and help them Lord Jesus. Amen
Again I stumble upon a poem (Not really, I am pretty much like scooby-doo sniffing for scooby snacks) that has such a thought provoking message. Now again before I go on about the interpretation, a few things on the poem I felt I had to mention which makes this such a strong write. First is the imagery you invoke with your words, that in itself helps in transporting the reader to different realm. The next thing this poem has is those alliterations. The alliterations have played more than just poetic devices because they add a lot of impact in terms of message conveyed as well. Talc Tantrum , taut timid trek. feels the future, do an excellent job of invoking imagery. The thing that makes this poem this powerful is the breaks in verses. Sets the tone, gives the transition between one tone to another. The use of a baby rash as an analogy for the rash society is very nicely put. Similarly weakened calcium and carbonated fear good way of breaking calcium carbonate and then using them separately to bring different images. Now the interpretation is quite touching, we are born in this world, but unfortunately we cannot be unborn again. True that life ahead is never easy, once we enter using that door we can't return or retrace our steps back to the door. It's either living through it finding happiness (most of the times temporary since life is a struggle) But then again that's all life is about the arduous journey to the end. And then somehow we end up finding the door where we were meant to be delivered at the end( exit i.e death). The only question did our route to reaching that door did justice in the first place and did we truly enjoy our life as much as we could. Again just my interpretation ^^ I may have swayed a bit from what you had in mind when you wrote this. Thank you for sharing ^^ It was a lovely read indeed ^^

Created by fusion, destroyed over time by fission; life's pathway is not an easy one, but just one beautiful sunrise (if only a temporary fix,) is worth all the gradual degradation.

nicely said, Beccy...your reply is better than the poem.
my daughter, desiree, tried to enter the birth canal butt first... she claims it was the proper face to present the world...her dark sense of the absurd often keep us both going... I loved your poem for the way it related to this part of my life...thank you

Ah! Yes! What awaits a new arrival in a world harsh and no longer protected in the womb, cosy safe. I suppose that's just life and you try to make the best of it!
