ArrangementA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
i've been Garfunkeled
into solo retreat the bridge teetering in
a sky of why
friendships trestle over
blue waters hands no longer shake but wave goodbye----
notes sprinkled with
salty tremor the voice stolen by
subjugate age
and then i listen to my
own record feel mislabeled A.S.C.A.P. ways entitle
me to sing to the moribund wind of
change
i am the lessened spice
of life engaged to an ending
that comes all too soon like a shotgun
wedding.
