White Shades

White Shades

A Poem by Eric Cox

Earth's evil reign decayed
God let loose the White Shades

Enforcers of justice
shielding blades glow and hiss
As each white blade flashes
evil bleeds to ashes

Earth's evil reign decayed
God let loose the White Shades

Angel spectres sheer white
eyes glow with holy light
Evil's sensed in the air
cut down by blades aflare

Earth's evil reign decayed
God let loose the White Shades

They will silence dark crime
throughout eternal time
Evil cut to its' soul
for thou the death bells toll

Earth's evil reign decayed
God let loose the White Shades

The White Shades now command
light and peace flood the land
the end to never come
the White Shades' death swords hum

A very powerful storyline in your poem. Brings to mind the battle of good verses evil. Your descriptions and storytelling ability shine in this tale of God's Angels fighting the forces that would destroy mankind, His special creation. Outstanding writing Eric!

"Earth's evil reign decayed, God let loose the White Shades" Repetition of these lines bring power to your very lyrical poem. Outstanding work! Very visual- Reminds me of the battle of the angels of light and darkness with Michael.

This work fills the page with eternal depth... the vastness and scope of all that is good at war with the shadows of pain and suffering. Powerful!

A powerful poem. Like a story of myth in your words. Angels to cause destruction to man waste and craziness. Artwork and words were amazing. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

Nicely done. I like the myth feel of this, like something out of an ancient book. God's good angels will come and save our world. Very enjoyable poem.
