Bears Just Want To Have FunA Poem by Eric CoxThe hunters have them in their sights blowing holes in them brings such delight “Look! I slaughtered a great big bear.” posing for a picture with a smile aflare through the trees the bear's mate gazes long in her heart the tears of loss ache strong many bears, deer, the list of kills stretches on for the sake of sport many close critters gone “How about a hunt for humans, sounds just they get a thrill each time our kind is blown to dust.” “Sounds like a grand idea, let's spread the open season word let's bag some hunters, fun and justice is assured.” through the woods claws and fangs for human meat the taste of hunters such a savorful treat sneaking up silently upon hunters unaware it's open season upon their flesh served rare the slaughter of hunters has now begun like hunters of old, bears just want to have fun
