Classic Planes, Shine On

Cutting through the sky classic planes shining in beauty
cool designs soar in the air in sculptured majesty
World War 1 brought the rise of biplane fighters I love
such unique planes blazed over battlefields high above
dogfights erupted with machine guns firing bursts of lead
graceful and cool multi-winged death birds soaring overhead
their beauty remains, still sailing upon the wind, of the sky
golden works of art, frozen in film, to eternally fly
World War 2 brought the rise of monoplane aircraft I love
such cool planes blazed over battle ravaged lands high above
sleek fighters and massive bombers built with skill and touched by art
though machines of death their forms hold such beauty and touch my heart
Corsairs, Mustangs, countless breeds of classic planes I can't help but love
sleek, graceful and cool lightning death birds, keep soaring high above
your beauty remains, still sailing upon the wind, of the sky
golden works of art, frozen in film, to eternally fly
