Death hollows my life, I'm on a death ride trapped in a corpse ever since I died I should be in Heaven but my soul never flied the Reaper's dead breath crawled inside I'm dead, but then again I'm not each death day I can feel my body rot at least I can move about no coffin route I am grateful for this though I feel Death's hollow kiss I hide in the shadows of the night safe from a lab cage out of mortals sight I miss the taste of food and the feeling of life I miss company and the touch of my lost wife I dream of a day when I'm soothed by light as the cobwebs of death bloom a hollow plight death stretches on through time, its haunting won't subside I'm a husk of decay like a withered vine, I'm on a death ride
This one is really chilling and spooky. I put myself in the poem and imagined myself in this situation and I can tell you I freaked myself out, this is truly a horror poem! Very graphic in detail that makes the chill all that much more powerful. Very skillfully done Eric. I like your rhyming and the imagery and descriptions are clever and unique. I enjoyed reading your wonderful poem,

Hard to hide from the reaper. He is always close. A very entertaining poem. I like the description and the good hiding spots. A nice ending to a outstanding poem.
Coyote
