Autumn Beach EncounterA Poem by Eric CoxDeep blue water is shimmering in the October sun's silver blaze
the sky a beautiful hue above the ocean's glittery haze a light fog shrouds the distance below vibrant blue not a cloud afloat in the sky with a snow white hue the seagulls sing and the waves soothingly echo light roars down the beautiful unspoiled beach she and I explore our souls sing touched by the open grand beauty which shrouds this serene atmosphere clears away life's grey storm clouds a hunt for seashells brings alive the magic of the beach picture taking yields moments of beauty forever in reach A crab fisherman catches one, reels it in, crab legs wiggling fast he smiles and says to me "It's a female", throws it back, then recasts within the ocean waters swim beautiful creatures of the sea dolphins and whales frolic and touch our souls with their beauty the Autumn sun shines illuminating the blue of the great sky waves roll in with whispering roars upon the soft sand as our souls sigh she and I pause to write sitting upon a washed in log near the sand's edge we are shrouded by the peaceful beauty gouging away city life like a wedge I long to return to the beach and breathe in the beauty and soothing calm so deep every beach encounter I so treasure and yearn to hear its soft song eternally sweep. © 2012 Eric CoxReviews
