It was a Thanksgiving dinner created by our mother we had turkey, dark and light meat mashed potatoes and beets corn on the cob and pumpkin pie homemade bread, my oh my so many treats so many eats we also had eggnog, cider and wine a dinner so divine When Uncle Fred saw the treats he asked: "Where's the beef?" mother turned red at those words that night a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner faded from sight now Uncle Fred is buried out back that Thanksgiving turned tombstone black.
Love the dark humor here. I think the lesson is to appreciate what you have and not complain, which Fred did. A wonderful meal all goes up in 'smoke'. However, I can't help but feel sorry for Fred. What a bad way to end the holiday! Nicely written to, has a really good flow to it and rhyming scheme.

A very good Thanksgiving poem. After a woman cooks and work all day. Best have only kind and sweet words for the cook. I like the ending. You have create a fun to read. A outstanding poem. Thank you.
